A small and socially-distanced groundbreaking ceremony was held earlier this week for the newest addition to Creative Village: the Luminary Green park. The event was attended by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, along with other members for the Orlando City Council.
Scheduled to be completed later in 2021, Luminary Green will span 2.3 acres and feature a welcoming lawn, light installations, and a dedication to community luminaries. The park will be open to students of Creative Village and members of Parramore and Downtown Orlando alike.
“When we partnered with the city to help fulfill the vision for Creative Village, a key component of the master plan was for the park to be a flexible, diverse and inclusive public space for the community,” said Craig Ustler of Ustler Development and Creative Village Development, LLC. “These types of special urban places are vital as we continue to build out Creative Village as a mixed-use urban Innovation District.”
