On October 5, 2020, the Orlando City Council approved a $5.3 million agreement with Collage Companies for the construction of the Creative Village park. The 2.3-acre park will provide opportunities for students, residents and visitors of Creative Village to gather, play and enjoy the outdoors. Isael “Izzy” Nunez is a third-year Junior, majoring in Business Finance. After transferring with his AA this past spring from Valencia College, Izzy is now a UCF student—but he is already starting his second year as an RA at UnionWest. Even after a year of calling the downtown campus his home, Izzy states “I can’t get enough of the downtown views.” He still has enthusiasm and excitement for his downtown campus—that, and the fact that there are “over 60 restaurants in a one-mile radius from UnionWest.”
